What does a session look like?
This can vary depending on what you would like and also what the horse needs.
On an initial consultation we will discuss the horse’s history and thoroughly assess their body to build a picture of what the next steps will be. From there we may decide the horse needs purely body work or a combination of balance exercises to aid the body in becoming stronger and reducing any discomfort. I will utilise my skills in massage, red light, Sure Foot Pads and postural work during the session.
If you are interested in improving your skills under saddle and your horses movement patterns, then we can organise a ridden session and develop your feel and improve your horses flow of movement.
I will also get you involved in the process and give you exercises to do with your horse as well as some simple body work techniques. This will help you to start developing skills in understanding your horses’ body and the simple things you can do in your daily routine to get them feeling their best.

What will you get at the end of each sessions?
When necessary you will get a written report of my notes on what my findings were, which may also include some videos with exercises I have prescribed.
I also hope that at the end of each session you walk away with an improved skill set and understanding of your horse’s body.

What do I need from you?
For any session I will need an open area to work with the horse as each treatment may involve some movement exercises.
I will also need a lunge rope or long rope, lunge whip and dressage whip. Please have your horses feet picked out before the session.
Please do not feed your horse just prior to my arrival unless they are very anxious.

Locations I service.
I currently travel around the eastern side of Victoria.
I look forward to meeting you and your horses and helping you both achieve something wonderful.

Hear from those who have had a positive experience with Steph’s Stable Equine
Steph has been helping me rehab my stb. Steph’s knowledge about the biomechanics of the horse is exceptional. She is very gifted and her dedication to her craft is inspiring.
Steph takes the time to explain and explore the best options to help your horse.
I would highly recommend Steph to help you understand how to best work with your horse to achieve optimal results.

Steph has been amazing in assisting me and my mare Spring after Spring accidentally got kicked by another horse and ended up with torn hamstring.
Spring was always a step better after her sessions with Steph ☺️ and has now fully recovered as is back to her old self.
Highly recommend Steph to assist with any equine injury!

Steph has been marvellous helping me with my mare. She has identified where she struggles with her body and in turn given me the correct exercises to build her up slowly. She has helped me recognise when she is finding it hard and how to help her achieve our goals. Her knowledge is invaluable 🙌

I bought a 3D printed spine from Steph and it’s been really amazing to use for reference. I’m a bodyworker and I love having it for reference. I also did a demo recently and it was perfect to pass around to the kids to give them an idea of what a spine looks like. It was absolutely worth it to get. :) I have no regrets.
